Introducing…RallyPad: A Launch Site for a Better Tomorrow

This past week, Rally was honored to attend the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) annual meeting in New York City.  Each year, CGI gathers heads of state, global executives, inspiring nonprofits, and thought leaders to take action on the world’s most pressing challenges.  Each participant makes a specific, detailed “Commitment to Action” to create positive change in the world over the next year.

Needless to say, we were flattered to have been invited!

Rally’s Commitment to Action is to build an incubator for social ventures where young organizations can access the resources they need to change the world. We’re calling it RallyPad.

Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, RallyPad will provide holistic support to thirty members, offering assistance in everything from office space to event planning. The concept space will feature all the standard office benefits, plus perks common to well-funded technology incubators, such as free lunch and yoga classes. Members will also participate in a mentorship program featuring experts and advisors from the nonprofit, technology, and business sectors.

Tom Serres Presents RallyPad

We are humbled by the opportunity to have launched RallyPad at CGI – in front of such a brilliant, empowered group of leaders. Although we only had 4 feet of space and 2 hours of time to present RallyPad, people crowded around our booth to look at photos, ask questions, and learn more about the pioneer nonprofits already working out of the incubator. Many of them signed up on the spot to get involved as mentors, members, partners, or sponsors.

But the question we heard most was “when will you be opening a RallyPad in New York, DC, LA, India, etc.?” Our answer… “How about Berlin?”

Wanna get involved? RallyPad is now accepting applications for membership and mentorship. Contact kirsten@rally.org for more info.
